Meet the Doctor
Joshua Davis, DDS
Dr. Joshua Davis is an experienced dentist who has a passion for helping patients with snoring, sleep apnea, and other sleep-breathing disorders. He has devoted a significant portion of his practice and education to help his patients achieve healthy sleep and increase the mood, energy, and overall quality of life. Dr. Davis has completed over 200 continuing education hours on sleep, including the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine’s Mastery program. Dr. Davis is the only full-time dentist in Westchester County who is Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. This governing body is considered the gold standard for dentists treating sleep apnea, and ensures the highest standards for quality patient treatment and outcomes. Dr. Davis also is on the Practice Management and Patient Resource Review Committee which sets guidelines for good practice within the field.
To treat his patients, Dr. Davis primarily utilizes oral appliance therapy, which is a custom-made medical device that fits on the teeth and helps keep the airway open during sleep. Regarding oral appliance therapy, Dr. Davis says “sleep disordered breathing begins with the tissue and organs in and around the mouth. I combine my dental and sleep-medicine knowledge to make sure that my patients receive an appropriate and comfortable treatment customized to their specific dental, sleep, and comprehensive needs. I am a sleep enthusiast and a pro at hitting the snooze button, so nothing makes me happier than helping my patients get the rest and energy that they need and deserve.”
Dr. Davis is from Chappaqua, NY graduated from Cornell University with honors with a degree in Biology in 2007 and went on to graduate from the NYU College of Dentistry in 2011. He continued his education with a General Practice Residency at Weill Cornell Medical College, which was completed in 2012.
